VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Participants for a Research Project
Do you want to have a chance to use wearable assistive devices?
Research Title: Compact Litter Assist for Warfighters
This study will involve up to five testing sessions on different days, each of which may take between 2-5 hours. During the testing, you will wear a series of biometric sensors and be tasked with walking (on a treadmill), lifting and carrying objects (up to 40 lbs in weight in each hand, 80 total), as well as simulated marksmanship (in prone and kneeling), and fine motor skills assessment.
Amazon gift card compensation ($20/hour - prorated) will be provided
You can take part in this study if:

  • You don’t have a history of neurological problems, major leg, spine, or arm injuries that limit walking, running, performing agility activities or manual tasks.
  • You are free of illness or any medical condition.
  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You are able to carry 40 lbs. in each hand at the same time (80 lbs. total).
  • You can perform moderate-intensity exercises regularly and run for 2 miles at a moderate pace.
