Plastics Engineering faculty Professors Ram Nagarajan, Jay Park, Meg Sobkowicz-Kline, Grace Chen, Amir Ameli and Amy Peterson join faculty from North Carolina State University, Drexel University, Gaston College, the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center in partnership with a new Department of War initiative aimed at modernizing textile manufacturing in the United States to support the defense industry.
This is a 10-year initiative that has a ceiling of $480 million over that period.
