We extend our congratulations to our Ph.D. graduates, whose research and scholarship contribute to advancing psychological science and improving lives through discovery, advocacy and applied practice. Their accomplishments represent years of rigorous academic work, collaboration with faculty mentors and meaningful contributions to the broader research community.

We also celebrate the graduates of the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Studies program. These students are entering the next stage of their professional journeys prepared to support individuals, families and communities through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise and compassionate care. Their work reflects the department’s commitment to community engagement and applied learning that creates real-world impact.

To our undergraduate Psychology graduates: Congratulations on this milestone achievement. Throughout your time at UMass Lowell, you have demonstrated resilience, leadership and a commitment to understanding human behavior in ways that strengthen our campus and communities. Whether your next step includes graduate study, clinical work, research, education, business, healthcare or public service, we are confident that you will continue to make meaningful contributions wherever your paths lead.

The department was especially proud to see Psychology represented during commencement festivities by student speaker Nokomis Bramantecohen, whose interdisciplinary studies in psychology, sociology and Italian reflect the spirit of curiosity and engagement shared by many of this year’s graduates.

Commencement weekend was filled with celebration, reflection and pride as graduates crossed the stage surrounded by family, friends, faculty and mentors. The Department of Psychology is honored to have been part of each student’s journey and looks forward to seeing all that our graduates accomplish in the years ahead.
Congratulations again to the Psychology Class of 2026 — once a River Hawk, always a River Hawk.
