Ainsworth's area of practice focuses on emerging technology product commercialization in hardware start-ups. Also, he works with existing companies on new product introduction, operations, and product development turn around. In all instances he usually works in the gray area between R&D and Product Development -and- Operations and Supply Chain, employing methods to lower the inherent noise level allowing better decision making in a more accountable framework.
Ainsworth has developed specific process driven tools and methods to accelerate Time to Profit for large and small companies.

Biosketch
Having grown up in the high volume manufacturing industries and possessing more than 25 years of experience in process and product development, and in new product introduction and commercialization, Mr. Ainsworth’s goal is to manage and create processes for cost-effective, sustainable manufacturing. He is known for driving technical and operational breakthrough, which is derived from his intuitive ability to break down operations and technical work flows, identify and solve problems up front, analyze the designs for manufacturability, test and reliability, and identify the essential Critical to Function (CTF) areas in the design, process development, and supply chain to bring products to market.
Mr. Ainsworth’s product development and manufacturing engineering, and operations expertise was developed in the disk drive, photonic components, and color printer industries where he gained experience with Digital Equipment Corporation, Tektronix (Xerox), Quantum/Maxtor Corporation, Corning, IPEX North America, and a number of client companies from mid-caps to start-ups.
