Update on Spring 2021 Commencement Exercises
UMass Lowell’s annual Commencement celebrations are the culmination of all the work by students, faculty and staff. There is no higher priority than to safely continue this tradition.
UMass Lowell is exploring all options to find a way we can safely hold an in-person component during Commencement in May. This may mean multiple, smaller, socially distanced ceremonies, an outside location and other measures that will continue to depend on the conditions of the pandemic and state gathering requirements.
We have learned a great deal this year about how to reduce risks and interact safely and we hope to announce by March additional details that enable us to celebrate your accomplishments together on campus, if possible.
