GEOL.3400 Geology of North America

Description
This is a reading course that is paired with a summer field experience lab section
(GEOL.3420L). This course will involve familiarization of the geology of a region in North America including, but not limited to State and National Parks, with a different regional focus each time the course is offered. Students will read and discuss papers on the region of geologic interest and will learn necessary skills (e.g., geologic mapping, sampling, geophysical methods, equipment use, safety, etc.) needed for the subsequent field experience.

Pre-Req: ENVI.2010 Earth Systems:Geosphere & EEAS Majors Only.
