Description
Organizations of all kinds - For Profit, Non-Profit, and government agencies face complex challenges in today's climate. Several lack the expertise, resources, and or time to overcome and adapt to the changing needs. The consulting for Entrepreneurial growth class at the Manning School of Business can help. The class offers students the unique opportunity to partner with local businesses, resolve their challenges, and implement modern technology and practices. The class focuses on the application of theoretical business concepts while being cognizant of the local community, business landscape, and owner. Students will assess strategy, quantify risk and opportunities, and streamline operations.Student efforts directly impact profitability and contribute to the welfare of the neighborhood. Students gain experience working with business owners' understanding of the importance of negotiations, owner expectations, while identifying the appropriate customer markets, and appreciating the impact of local businesses within the City of Lowell. By the end of the semester, students will have developed long term relationships within the local community and have positively impacted local establishments.
Prerequisites
Junior Standing or above and Instructor Permission required.
