Description

This course introduces students who are considering a career in education to teaching literature in diverse classrooms through practical, reflective, and research-based strategies. Through a mix of syllabus and unit design, microteaching, classroom simulations, and peer feedback, students will gain practical experience in lesson planning and delivery. Students will develop a portfolio of teaching materials through practice and reflection that includes a syllabus, unit plan, lesson materials, assessments, and a teaching philosophy.

Pre-Req: ENGL 1020 College Writing II.
