Description
This laboratory course prepares students with the hands-on training required for working in a tissue engineering laboratory, including the development of experimental design and laboratory documentation skills. Experiments emphasizing 3-D tissue culture techniques will be employed. Lab modules are designed for students to achieve competency in skills to be able to design, create and test 3-D tissue cultures for tissue engineering and related biomaterial applications. This course will also emphasize selection and implementation of relevant assays and other analytical techniques. Students will complete a term project that synthesizes and learned skills and requires application of experimental design and data analysis.
