Description
This course prepares students to navigate the transition from college to career with confidence and professionalism. Through hands-on activities, reflective exercises, and real-world scenarios, students will develop the skills necessary to market themselves effectively, conduct a strategic job search, and succeed in interviews and networking opportunities. Topics include crafting resumes and cover letters, building a professional online presence, interpreting job descriptions, preparing for career fairs, and applying ethical principles in the workplace. Students will also strengthen key career readiness competencies -- including communication, professionalism, and self-development -- while exploring negotiation strategies, workplace expectations, and personal finance. Whether entering the workforce or considering graduate school, students will leave this course with a personalized career action plan and the tools to thrive in today's competitive job market.

ENGL.1020 College Writing II, and ZCHS Students Only.
