How to Retire While Staying Engaged

This panel was for faculty members who are considering retirement, but want to stay engaged with the university, whether through research, teaching, student engagement, or other initiatives.
Professor Emeriti Bryan Buchholz (Biomedical Engineering), Robert Giles (Physics and Applied Physics) and Karen Melillo (Nursing) shared their own experiences with retirement and address ways retired faculty can stay connected with the university while still finding time to pursue their retirement goals. This was an interactive session. Kim Casey of Human Resources also joined the panel to answer any questions about the process.
The panel took place on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023 at 4 p.m. in Moloney Hall in University Crossing. The discussion was recorded for those who could not attend.
