Registration is now open!
Join us at the 2022 UMOVE Student Research Symposium on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. virtually over Zoom.
This year’s event features a special keynote speaker, Roger Fielding, Ph.D., associate director of the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. Dr. Fielding is an internationally known researcher who studies the underlying mechanisms contributing to the age-associated decline in skeletal muscle mass, the resultant impact on function, and the potential role of exercise, nutrition, physical activity, and other therapies on attenuating this process.
Undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral researchers studying biological movement, ranging from the whole organism to the molecular level, are encouraged to register for podium presentations and poster presentations.
While we always encourage participants from other universities, the hybrid format of this year’s event enables us to extend the invitation to researchers from any locale. We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word to colleagues!
Abstract Submission Deadline: December 20, 2021.

About Us
At the beginning of each spring semester, UMOVE hosts its annual Student Research Symposium, which gathers faculty, staff, students and experts in the region to discuss the latest advances in biological movement. Students participate in talks and a poster session and are able to network and receive feedback from peers and professionals in related fields. The symposium is also organized and managed completely by students.
