The Facilities Management Department provides comprehensive planning and overall management for all aspects of the facilities and infrastructure of UMass Lowell. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Management, this position is responsible for directing and overseeing all daily operations for campus planning and Facilities Information Systems to align with and support campus development goals. As the Director of the Planning and Facilities Information Systems, this position is responsible for ensuring continuity, consistency, and quality of planning services delivered across the campus as well as information services for Facilities Management and other campus stakeholders.
This individual will work closely with community and government partners, consultants, and internal stakeholders--including faculty, staff, students and senior administration--to implement the University’s strategic campus and master planning goals.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires its institutions of higher education to prepare long-range plans to determine future needs and guide development of capital outlay for buildings, facilities, land needs, and services.
