Biosketch
Frank Swartzwelder recently retired as Director of Technology and Business Development in MilliporeSigma’s BioProcessing organization. Frank held various roles at MilliporeSigma over his 18 years there including in Cell Culture Operations management and in Upstream R&D product and process development.
He also served in innovation leadership roles, where here organized and led international Scientific Advisory and Innovation events to support the company’s Process Solutions and BioProcessing business strategy. Prior to his time at MilliporeSigma, Frank was co-founder and President/Chief Scientific Officer of Stemgenix, LLC, a stem cell tissue bank and cell culture media start-up business in Buffalo, NY. Prior to that, Frank worked for 10 years as a Senior Scientist in R&D and Technology Transfer at GIBCO-Life Technologies.
