The Office of Multicultural Affairs is thrilled to invite you to our reimagined annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration: Elevating Voices: An Immersive Experience on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.

As a building-wide experience throughout University Crossing, this program is designed to offer myriad ways to learn: about yourself, others, the community around us. A major part of Dr. King’s legacy centers and remains grounded in community action, and we hope that this program offers you examples of and inspires you to elevate your voices- and those around you toward a more just and equitable world in all of the communities around you. The full program schedule is outlined below.

At the 4:30 p.m. celebration, we will be honoring our amazing students with this year’s “Unsung Hero” awards, recognizing the incredible work that our students do each and every day- humbly, thoughtfully and intentionally.

Up to two awards each for undergraduates, master's and Ph.D. candidates will be awarded. Self-nomination and nomination by others are encouraged up until Jan. 18, 2024.
