From playwright Vichet Chum comes a celebration of Khmer identity, queerness, and embracing the complicated histories that shape who we are and want to become. Set in Lowell, Kween follows sixteen-year-old Soma, as she discovers slam poetry against the backdrop of her Ba’s deportation to Cambodia. Joyful, searing, and all about Lowell.
