Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Amy Liss and Malachi Robinson to unpack pronoun usage, its importance, and cultivating space and building inclusive communities. Have you ever wondered why someone includes their pronouns within their email signature? Why more people are introducing themselves and including pronouns? Pronoun usage is one of the many ways you can assist in creating an inclusive community as concepts and terminology continue to evolve. As we empower diverse communities, we must be prepared to support all our community members. This workshop is designed to unpack “who” pronouns are for, the usage of pronouns, and how to respond respectfully and correct a mistake. We will also discuss the importance of cultivating communities that are inclusive to all and learning together. Register online.
Please visit the Employee Learning, Engagement & Development website for full workshop descriptions. Should you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to ELED_Registrations@uml.edu. Thank you to the many staff and faculty who participated this past year in the workshops sponsored by Employee Learning, Engagement and Development (formerly known as Workplace Learning and Development). Our goal is always to offer workshops that support development, promote success in the workplace and encourage even greater participation.
