I utilized the services of the Career & Co-op Center on multiple occasions. I met with a career counselor and utilized Drop-In Hours to clean up and make the necessary changes to my resume so that it’d be presentable to companies. I also met with a career counselor for internship search assistance and attended the Fall Career Fair 2016.

Because of the Career & Co-op center I was able to expand my search for a new job. I was given the tools to go out into the workforce and land an internship at Lawrence District Court where I am working side by side with an attorney. My ultimate career goal is to own my own security company but I have an open mind to new things that may possible interest me.

UMass Lowell has provided us with a lot of resources to help us transition into the workforce after college and the Career & Co-op Center is one of the most important. My advice to other students is, no matter what year you’re in the Career & Co-op Center can help you; it’s never too early.
