Drop-In Assistance

Drop-in assistance is an excellent starting point for how to write a resume or cover letter, an initial resume review, or if you have quick questions about interviewing or a job/internship search. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis during 15-minute consultations with a trained Career Peer.

Scheduled Appointments

Scheduled appointments are 30-minutes in duration with a professional staff member. Career advising is offered in-person and via Zoom; you will choose location when scheduling. For an in-person resume or cover letter review, please bring a printed copy with you.

Important note: If an individual has booked an in-person appointment and needs to change to virtual due to illness, please call our office at 978-934-2355; if you are not well enough to meet, you can use the link in your scheduling email to cancel or re-book for another day. In the event that a staff member needs to shift from in-person to virtual, notification will be made as soon as possible; please be sure to check your email for any updates about your appointment.

Scheduled career advising appointments are good for career exploration conversations, complex resume questions or CV writing (please bring a printed copy), practice interviews, a comprehensive job search strategy meeting, graduate school personal statement reviews, or salary negotiation questions.

Appointment Policies

Just as our staff members are held to high standards of professional conduct, we have similar expectations of our students' behaviors. Please note that disruptive or similarly unproductive behaviors may lead to a termination or suspension of services.

A “no-show” is a scheduled appointment with a Career & Co-op Center staff member which is missed (or for which the student/alumnus is more than 10 minutes late) without prior notification. Three cumulative no-shows may result in a termination of services, including but not limited to, career advising appointments, on-campus / practice interviews, and career events.

Alumni are welcome to make free unlimited career advising appointments during their first year following graduation and up to three appointments per year thereafter.

Please also review our policies regarding on-campus interviews.
