Serwa started her higher education career working in admissions and this is where her love for helping students explore majors that complimented their interest and academic strengths began. Prior to joining UMass Lowell, she served as the Assistant Director for Career Services at a private liberal arts college where she designed and delivered career workshops and events to prepare students in transitioning to the world of work or graduate education. She also worked at the Pathways Center at Middlesex Community College where she provided comprehensive career services to Health and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) students.
Areas of Expertise/Professional Interests
Serwa is passionate in guiding college students to make informed decisions about their careers. Her areas of professional interest and expertise are in career coaching, personal development and supporting the academic success of underrepresented students. At UMass Lowell, she counsels and prepares students and alumni with career exploration and navigating a successful job search.
