The Honors College is excited to announce Honor Yourself week from Oct. 7-11. The goal of Honor Yourself week is to provide all students, faculty and staff with an opportunity to pause and focus on well-being and to raise awareness of wellness resources available on campus.
Here are some of the events the Honors College is hosting. These are available to the entire campus community:
Monday, Oct. 7
- “Sun Salutations” porch yoga at 9 a.m. at the Allen House
- Arts and Crafts activities are offered to students, with material provided! 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Allen House
- Board Games night! 3-5 p.m. at the Allen House. Board games will be provided, however, feel free to bring your own as well!
Tuesday, Oct. 8
- College Success Coaching will be offered from 11 a.m.-noon in the Allen House.
- “Tie-Dye Tuesday” from 1-4 p.m. in the Allen House. Some t-shirts will be provided, but for the most part bring your own white article of clothing!
Wednesday, Oct. 9
- Genesis Be, Global Ambassador for Moral Courage, presents a screening of "Mississippi Turning" and a workshop on how to have healthy conversations about heated issues from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall and 3:30-5 p.m. in Coburn 255
Thursday, Oct. 10
- “Stretch Class” from 11-11:45 a.m. on the Allen House Porch.
- "Note Thursday” from noon-2 p.m. in the Allen House where you can practice attitude and gratitude!
Friday, Oct. 11
- “Future-Self Friday” where you can make a vision board and write letters to your future self from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Allen House.
