Are you doing research in aging or aging-related diseases?
Are you a graduate student or post-doctoral researcher interested in entrepreneurship and want to be PAID to learn more?
If yes, the LIFT program might be right for you! The UMass Lowell Innovative Fellows Training Program (LIFT) is a paid, semester-long experiential biotech and MedTech learning opportunity for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in aging and aging-related diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease. The program provides diverse career opportunities and business skills such as competitive analysis, marketing, regulatory strategy, intellectual property, and venture financing.
Program Details:
- Duration: 12 sessions from Sept. 12 to Dec. 5, 2024
- Commitment: ~2 hours/week for 12 weeks; ~6-8 hours for the final pitch event
- Benefits: Mentorship, networking with biotech companies, and a $1,000 travel reimbursement for the final event
- Stipend: $2,016 per trainee
Eligibility:
- Graduate students within one year of graduation (PhDs, MDs, dual degrees, Master's with research experience)
- Post-doctoral researchers
