Degree: Doctoral
Location: Olney, Room 519
Date: Friday, March 29, 2024
Time: Noon

Committee Chair:
Prof. James F. Reuther, Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell

Committee Members:

  • Prof. James Whitten, Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell
  • Prof. Marina Ruths, Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell
  • Prof. Yuyu Sun, Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell

Abstract:
My research project is mainly concentrated on developing dynamically crosslinked, polymer nanoparticle networks for water purification applications that can be effectively regenerated using stimuli-responsive network reconfiguration. The synthesis of these dynamic nanoparticle networks (DNNs) can be accomplished via direct, in situ polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) and dynamic disulfide-exchange crosslinking forming nanostructured, networks with interstitial porosity.

All interested students and faculty members are invited to attend.
