Directions:

Write a short 3-4 page double-spaced essay on what you see as your unique contribution as a first-generation college student based on one of these topics:

  • Topic 2: How has your first-generation college student experience been a source of power and strength in your life? How has it contributed to your choice of major, or what you hope to do post-graduation?
  • Topic 3: How has your identity and first-generation experience made a difference on you and your life or those in your community, and your choice or major, career, or field of study?
