The Advance Office for Faculty Equity and Resilience is proud to announce:

Microaggressions Bystander Training

Like a mosquito bite, one microaggression may not be a big deal. But imagine being bitten multiple times a week, year round. This is how the culture is for some people at UMass Lowell and most other universities. Be part of the effort to change it! This evidence-based program was designed by the WAVES team and is offered by OFER to help faculty navigate what to do when you witness a microaggression.

This training session is practical and interactive; you will build your skills in identifying and interrupting instances of microaggressions. Role playing and vignettes help participants develop confidence in their ability to notice microaggressions and intervene.

When: Friday, March 1, 1 to 3 p.m.
Where: Lydon Library, room 110
Who: ALL faculty who have not participated in the training or wish to refresh their skills
How to sign up: Go to uml.edu/bystander-training to register!
