The undergraduate and master’s degree programs in Public Health are newly accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This accreditation affirms that the UML public health programs meet rigorous competency-based curriculum standards and provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to have successful and meaningful careers in public health. These programs also provide the important foundational coursework required for many advanced degrees in a variety of health programs.
In addition to CEPH, the Master's in Public Health (MPH) programs are now STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designated degrees, which benefits both current and future students. We are pleased to have our MPH degrees acknowledged for their strong STEM foundation.
Our MPH graduates have rewarding careers in which they use science and data analysis to improve the health of our communities. STEM designation also means that international MPH students are eligible for a 3-year Optional Practical Training (OPT) after graduation. The program offers 4 MPH degrees, all of which are STEM-designated: MPH in Dietetics, MPH in Epidemiology, MPH in Healthcare Management, MPH in Social & Behavioral Sciences.
