Students’ courses are key to earning their degrees. But work in the classroom is only part of any student’s college education.
Clubs, sports and intramurals, professional organizations — all of these experiences are enhancing leadership and collaboration skills, persistence and work ethic.
After graduation, a transcript summarizes academic success. A new web application called Mosaic will empower students to track and highlight their engagement across their college career.
Created by the Web Development and Experience team in the Office of Brand, Communications & Creative Strategy under the leadership of the Provost’s Office, the Mosaic Builder enables students to catalog and highlight experiences abroad, internships and time as a student organization leader.
By piecing together their individual experiences onto a single digital canvas, future employers or graduate schools will be able to step back and see a more complete picture of students’ history through a co-curricular transcript viewable alongside an academic one.
Students will be able to strengthen their resumes with this information as they search for that first job out of college and the university will be able to use data obtained through Mosaic to help students get more engaged and find success.
