Workforce health and safety is often marginalized from the core operational mission of an organization, whether that is production of goods or of services. A successful health and safety program requires integration with operations management, but it can be difficult for occupational health and safety professionals to secure a proper role on their employer’s high-level agenda.

In this webinar, learn how to change the internal health and safety of your organization through organizational learning and change management using “change agents”, intermediaries and collective teamwork. Peter Hasle, Ph.D., guest speaker from the University of Southern Denmark, will share his expertise by explaining how to create successful interventions. Through multiple in-depth case studies, he will demonstrate how organizational design features can be used to proactively develop and ensure collaboration capable of solving collective tasks and bridging departmental and occupational silos to improve health care delivery. The information to be presented is relevant across all industries and will be valuable for students and faculty interested in workplace safety, business and human resources management, and industrial engineering.

This webinar is offered by the UML Center for Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace (CPH-NEW). It is part of a quarterly Total Worker Health® Trends: Expert Webinar Series.
