Beginning Monday, Sept. 11, University Crossing will be adjusting building hours and staffing support levels to better align with adjusted budget for FY24.

Below will be the new building hours and staffing support structure:

Academic Year

  • Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: Noon – 10 p.m.

Breaks

  • Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
Holidays: CLOSED

Student Staff Support

  • One Building Manager
  • One Welcome Desk Staff

All those who have bookings affected by these changes will be communicated with over the next few weeks to discuss options related to the event bookings. The team will do everything we can to accommodate any necessary changes, particularly around displaced student events.

Additionally, the University Crossing Operations team will be adjusting the following as it relates to building support and programming:

  • No event support or access to events before/after posted building hours
  • Increased Setup/Breakdown times for major events may require up to 2 hours for setup or breakdown
  • All events in major spaces must end by 4 p.m. (Breaks) and 9 p.m. (Academic Year) to allow for Breakdown, Flip, and clearing out of building. All other spaces will close (30) minutes prior to building close. Major spaces for the building include:
  • UCC-100 (Atrium)
    • UCC-260 (Moloney Hall)
    • UCC-2C1 (2nd Floor Lobby)
    • UCC-3C1 (3rd Floor Lobby)
    • UCC-4C1 (4th Floor Lobby)
  • Reduced support for custom Hybrid setups as defined y Hospitality and Events
  • Push for departmental led meetings in-person or utilizing built-in hybrid setups requiring no dedicated staff support.
