The Asian American Center for Excellence and Engagement (AACEE) is looking for three faculty who will serve in the role of AACEE Faculty Fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Phitsamay S. Uy, Associate Professor, Co-Director for the Center for Asian American Studies at UMass Lowell, will work with the fellows as a team to develop culturally relevant curriculum utilizing Asian American Studies materials. Content will be customized to fit your current or future courses. Faculty fellows will also learn other culturally responsive teaching and pedagogy strategies to increase student engagement, cultivate positive identity development, and build skills in critical thinking, analysis, and social awareness. Fellows will be expected to make one meeting per month.

This work is covered under the Department of Education/Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Grant. Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. If there is a large pool, priority consideration will be given to faculty from the Kennedy College of Sciences and Manning School of Business where the largest concentration of our Asian American students is enrolled. For the successful completion of this professional development opportunity, faculty fellows will receive $2,000 stipend.

If interested, please submit a brief statement of interest to Cherry Lim, Program Director, AACEE, at cherry_lim@uml.edu.
