Do you want to learn how to better help a student who experiences mental health issues? How about a family member, friend or colleague?

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

We have a few spots still available in our session on Monday, June 12, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Wannalancit Mills in room 305. You must do two hours prework prior to this class.

This training is available to all UMass Lowell faculty, staff and students.

Register for training. Contact Melissa Wall at Melissa_Wall@uml.edu if you have any questions.
