To all members of our HPC research community:

We are getting close to the end of the Shared HPC Cluster. We wanted to take a minute to remind you that if you have data on the Shared Cluster, it is your responsibility to move your data off of the old cluster and onto the new Unity environment.

There are only a few days left to copy your data off of the Shared Cluster in MGHPCC. You will lose access to the old Shared Cluster on the morning of May 15. Please move your data off of the cluster urgently so that you do not lose it.

As a reminder, the old Shared Cluster in MGHPCC has been modified to be "read-only" since last week. This means that jobs can no longer be run on the Shared Cluster, and user logins are active only so that PIs and their teams can move data off of the Shared Cluster to the new Unity HPC environment.

Please work urgently to move your data off of the shared cluster. Access to the Shared Cluster will be discontinued on May 15, for a final preparation to decommission the Shared Cluster. For information that covers options on how to get your data and workload to Unity, please see the recording of our first Unity Onboarding Workshop, available on our Unity transition website.

All UMass Lowell users of the Shared Cluster should proceed with the understanding that all data not moved off of the cluster prior to May 15 will be lost.

If you have any questions, please contact researchcomputing@uml.edu and we will assist you as quickly as possible.
