The He is Me Fellowship provides Black male college students with a specialized introduction to the teaching profession.
Benefits of this 11-month program include: Black-Centered Curriculum, Identity Empowerment, and Transferable Skills:
- Black-Centered Curriculum: Fellows engage in online asynchronous learning modules and come together virtually every month to build on learning during cohort seminars.
- Identity Empowerment: Fellows build community by engaging in affinity-based learning while exploring how to leverage their Black male identity to teach and empower others.
- Transferable Skills: Fellows develop transferable career skills such as facilitation and collaboration and are better positioned to grow, learn and further their education.
While an education major is not required to join the Fellowship, experience and an interest in pursuing the teaching profession are preferred.
Fellowship begins Aug. 7, 2023. Applications are due by July 15. View the full Fellowship description and apply. Questions? Email hello@heisme.org or call 617-765-7232.
