Do you want to learn how to better help a student who experiences mental health issues? How about a family member, friend or colleague?
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Trainings are currently scheduled for the following dates:
- Monday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 26, 12:30-5 p.m. / UCrossing 158 (12 spots still available)
- Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17, 12:30-5 p.m./ UCrossing 421 (8 spots still available)
- Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23, 12:30-5 p.m. / Remote (7 spots still available)
- Monday, June 12, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. / Charles Hoff Alumni Center 301 - You must do two hours prework prior to this class (just added!)
