I am very excited to announce the 25th Anniversary of our UMass Lowell Symphonic Band Camp that features an incredible finale concert at Symphony Hall on July 22.

This week-long camp for young musicians in grades 8-12 still has openings!

The UMass Lowell Mary Jo Leahey Symphonic Band Camp is a wonderful opportunity for 130 passionate musicians grade 8-12 to come together and explore their creativity while participating in a variety of ensembles, workshops, classes, and performances. Our staff is dedicated to providing an environment that fosters growth, inspiration, and fun.

The finale concert at Symphony Hall promises to be the highlight of our camp. We can hardly wait to share with you and our students the exciting world premiere of movie composer Rossano Galante’s latest work, commissioned just for the camp. The level of energy and excitement already surrounding this event is nothing short of incredible. You will not want to miss this!

If you have a child, sibling or friend in grades 8-12 who is passionate about music and performance and you think they would like to be a part of this incredible experience, please tell them to secure their spot today. This July music camp is already half full.

Contact Deb_Huber@uml.edu or go to www.uml.edu/symphonicbandcamp for enrollment details.

For our university community: The concert on July 22 will be in the early afternoon, and open to the public, with tickets available beginning June 1, 2023. We hope to see you there!
