Massachusetts Life Science Center (MLSC) has invited UMass Lowell to again participate in their summer High School Apprenticeship Challenge Program. This initiative promotes STEM, specifically life sciences, to high school students in Lowell through its internship program.

UMass Lowell labs or faculty conducting research or other project work related to the life sciences area may host high school student(s) for six to eight weeks between June and August 2023. The program is structured so that students work up to 240 hours (30-40 hrs/week) with their stipends fully covered by MLSC. Please note that a faculty’s time is not compensated by MLSC. However, this program enables you to share your life science passion with underrepresented, disadvantaged youth from Lowell who may otherwise not have this type of opportunity.

If you are interested in hosting a student(s) this summer, please indicate your interest by filling out this form by 5 p.m. on Feb. 23.
