The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) is excited to announce its Winter 2023 workshop series designed to provide an interactive platform which encourages participants to integrate workshop content and the recommended teaching strategies into their classrooms. All workshops will be conducted on Zoom. Register today.
CELT: Designing for Equity in the Classroom. Jan. 10, 10 a.m.
Facilitated by Colleen Tapley, Assistant Teaching Professor, School of Education.
This workshop will focus on supporting faculty in building equitable learning communities for all learners. Best practices, strategies and resources that promote equity in the higher education classroom environment will be provided and discussed.
CELT: The Library: Open Access and You. Jan. 11, 10 a.m.
Facilitated by Amanda Rust, Associate Director for Research and Learning, University Library.
Join us to learn about library plans for increased support in open access and copyright. We will discuss potential responses to recent U.S. federal funding mandates around open access and how the current copyright landscape can affect access to both dissertations and streaming media, and end with an interactive discussion of faculty needs.

Join us to Identify key components of an inclusive, engaging, and informative syllabus that supports student success and discuss how faculty Utilize strategies to motivate students to read your syllabus. Incorporating language and design elements into your syllabus to promote equity, belonging, and growth mindset will be discussed. You are encouraged to bring your own syllabi to share and identify specific changes that applies to your own class.
