Appointments are required. Register online. Please make sure you choose the option for UMass Lowell from the list of vaccine clinics. To assure we have enough vaccine, we are not able to offer walk-in appointments.
Registration will close at noon on Nov. 16, so plan ahead and make that appointment!
This new booster formulation is bivalent, meaning it protects against both the original SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and the more prevalent and highly contagious omicron sub-variant BA.5. Getting this new booster will activate an immune response against the original and new strains, leaving you better protected against infection and severe illness from COVID-19.
We anticipate both the Moderna and Pfizer types of vaccines will be available, but that is subject to change depending on the supply chain.
It is recommended that you wait four months after your most recent booster if you have already had one.
This clinic is open to all university community members. Those receiving booster will receive a $25 gift card – while supplies last! No need to bring your insurance card but please bring your white COVID-19 vaccine card with you so it can be updated to reflect your latest protective jab.
While the COVID-19 booster requirement is currently suspended at UML, members of the community are highly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to protect their health, the health of their families and friends, and of course the health of the campus.
