Following a strong and encouraging response to UMass Lowell’s Strategic Planning survey, I’m excited to share what comes next in this critical process to advance this university.
We are fortunate to be in a position to build on the successes the campus has attained as a result of the 2020 Strategic Plan.
In the next five weeks, the university will be hosting a series of thematic Strategic Planning Thought Sessions. Guided by a professional moderator from Regina Villa Associates, Regan Checcio, these sessions will provide opportunities for the university community to delve deeper into the individual tools and tactics we need to implement to create a plan that reflects the values and goals of the university community. They will also help us define what success will look like and how to measure progress toward our goals.
I encourage all members of the campus community to make time to come and share your ideas and input at any or all of the sessions. Following each session, our moderator will gather the collective feedback on the topic and provide a summary to university leaders as we develop an initial draft of a strategic plan for further campus review.
Please register for the sessions you plan to attend to help give our moderator a sense of the size of each discussion. At each session there will also be collections for our UMass Lowell Food Pantry. Any donation you can make would be a great help to many of our students.
