In the aftermath of war, genocide, or ethnic cleansing, faith leaders play a crucial role in rebuilding community. What insights can their experience lend to those who pursue peace? UMass Lowell will host a panel discussion on this topic featuring visiting scholar Gladys Ganiel (Queens University Belfast), Rev. Thysan Sam (Eliot Presbyterian Church in Lowell), and Rev. Jeremiah Menyongai (Christ Jubilee International Church in Lowell), who will share research and first person experiences of healing after conflict.
Students, faculty and members of the wider Lowell community are all invited to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Aaron Shepherd.
