Our host city is fortunate to be one of only a few dozen nationwide that is home to a high-quality professional regional theater, of the caliber generally found only in major cities. Every year, the Merrimack Repertory Theatre produces a season of remarkable new and contemporary plays that engage, enrich, and entertain the community. UMass Lowell is proud to be a major partner with the theater and encourages students, faculty, and staff to take advantage of the generous available discounts to attend performances there.
Students can purchase tickets to any show for $10 with a valid UMass Lowell ID.
Faculty and staff receive a discount of up to 35% on tickets by selecting the UML price from the drop-down menu when ordering season subscriptions.
This year’s exciting season includes:
- Macbeth, through Nov. 6
- World Premiere of A Christmas Carol, Nov. 30-Dec. 24
- East Coast Premiere of Letters from Home, Jan. 18-Feb. 5, 2023
- How High the Moon: The Music of Ella Fitzgerald, May 3-21, 2023
Seats can be reserved at www.mrt.org/subscriptions or by calling 978-654-4678.
Attending shows at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre is a great way to experience one of Lowell’s cultural gems and contribute to the vitality of our community. I look forward to seeing you at the theater!
