The Honors College and UMatter2 are challenging all students, faculty, and staff to “Honor Yourself” with a week of wellness-oriented events starting Monday, Oct. 17.

The goal of Honor Yourself week is to provide members of our community with an opportunity to pause and learn more about the facets of your well-being through raising awareness of wellness resources available on campus, building community, and sharing programming to address all dimensions of wellness.

Our goal is to help all members of our community to build a toolkit of resources and strategies to center your well-being, even during stressful times.

As part of Honor Yourself week, all UML students are eligible for a free 2-month membership to the meditation app, Ten Percent Happier. Details will be released to students on Monday, Oct. 17.

Monday, Oct. 17
Vision Board Design
Time: 10:30 a.m. – noon
Location: Allen House, 1st Floor

Tuesday, Oct. 18
Stretch & Relax
Time: 3:30 – 4 p.m.
Location: Olsen 404

Wednesday, Oct. 19
Fall Health & Wellness Resource Fair
Time: 5 – 7 p.m.
Location: University Crossing Lobby

Labyrinth Walk
Time: 5 – 7 p.m.
Location: Moloney Hall (2nd Flr University Crossing)

Loving-Kindness Meditation
Time: 6 -6:45 p.m.
Location: Serenity Center (Suite 382, University Crossing)

Thursday, Oct. 20
Painting on the Porch
Time: 3 – 5 p.m.
Location: Allen House, 1st Floor

Friday, Oct. 21
Special Guest: Musician Jim Donovan
Connecting Music and Mindfulness
Donovan was founding member of the 3-time platinum band Rusted Roots. His TEDx Talk “How to Trick Your Brain Into Falling Asleep” has been viewed more than 4 million times.
