The university is pleased to announce that we will be implementing retroactive salary increases for our eligible MSP, MTU, and CTU bargaining unit employees. I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication demonstrated by members of our collective bargaining teams (both union and management members) while working to obtain successful agreements. The following salary increases and payments will be implemented as scheduled:

  • The 2.5% salary increase effective July 5, 2020, and the 2% salary increase effective July 4, 2021, will appear in paychecks on April 29, 2022. Retroactive payments for these increases will appear in paychecks on May 13, 2022.
  • The 1.5% one-time payment equivalent to base salary rates (minimum payment of $1,000) after the July 2021 salary increase will appear in paychecks on May 13, 2022.

Earlier in the fiscal year, similar salary increases and retroactive payments were distributed to our SEIU Professionals, Teamsters University Police, and MTA Grants and Contracts units as well as non-unit employees.

Again, thank you for the collaborative efforts that resulted in these agreements and salary increases. And thank you all for the diligent work efforts you perform each day to advance the success of our students and the entire campus community.
