During Ramadan, many members of our campus community will be observing Ramadan through fasting, prayer, community gatherings and friendship between April 2 and May 2.

Dining Options: Dining Services will be increasing food options at the after-hours dining options, Rowdy’s-On the Fly and ICC Retail. Students with meal plans can also request a breakfast option during their On the Fly order the day/evening prior for suhoor. In the dining halls, look for the halal signs displayed in the salad, deli and grill stations. If students would like further information, don't forget to scan the QR codes located by dishes, and all are welcome to approach any on-site dining manager wearing blue or white chef hats for more info. Dates to break the fast are available upon request at both dining hall and On the Fly locations.

Prayer Accommodations: For individual daily prayers, the Serenity Center (UCC 382) is available from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. and provides an ablution station. Please be advised that the Serenity Center is not available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. on South Campus, O'Leary 421 is available from 7 a.m.-midnight. Jumu’ah prayer locations vary each semester. For Spring 2022, campus members are invited to pray starting at 1:15 p.m. every Friday in Alumni Hall.

Programming: The UML Muslim Student Association (MSA) organizes and sponsors several social, cultural and educational events and activities for the campus community. In these activities, MSA aims to help promote awareness and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities. MSA will host two iftaar dinners for Muslims (and interested non-Muslims) to break their fast as well as weekly religious circles on Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m. in the Serenity Center (UCC 382).

The Serenity Center offers group counseling sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. Students must be seen in counseling for a triage before joining a group. The Serenity Center is not available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. for students looking to pray.
