The OERScars is co-hosted by our Student Government Association, the UML chapter of MassPirg, and the Office of the Provost to honor faculty who currently use Open Educational Resources or are interested in learning more about reducing textbook costs. The event will feature a red carpet, a photo booth, trophies and prizes, and most importantly, an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to get together over a meal and connect about the issues that matter to them.

March 31
6 to 8 p.m.
Moloney Hall, University Crossing

Please join us for the OERscar dinner if

  • You are a student who wants to thank a professor for using low-cost materials, or wants to encourage more faculty to join the initiative
  • You are a faculty member who has been using Open Educational Resources and wants to connect with students and with others who are doing similar work
  • You are a faculty member who is "OER-curious," but is not sure what is involved
  • You are a staff member, or another member of our university support team who wants to be part of a celebration of student access and support
  • You like great conversations over a good meal

To participate in this star-studded event, please fill out this form, preferably by Friday, March 25 (we may be able to accept late RSVPs, but space is limited.)

I hope to see you on the red carpet!
