Please join us on Monday, April 4 in Coburn 255 for a panel presentation and workshop for faculty and FAHSS doctoral students. The presentation is open to all faculty at UMass Lowell. Learn about grant and fellowship opportunities and get individual help from our panel of national experts:

Morning session (9:30 a.m.– noon): Panel presentation

  • continental breakfast begins at 9 a.m.
  • overview of grants and fellowships
  • identify key funders in the social sciences and humanities
  • keys to writing strong proposals for grants and fellowships

*Afternoon session (1:30 – 4:30 p.m.): Workshop

  • individualized feedback and help with grant ideas
  • focus on the early stages of the writing process
  • how to develop your research question
  • how to situate questions in a solid theoretical foundation and methodology

*Note: A full proposal would not be required; your written idea can take the form of a summary, abstract, précis, aims, etc. If you are seeking individual feedback, please submit your written idea as an attachment to Teresa_Gonzales@uml.edu by March 28.
