The Sports Collaborative for Open Research and Education (SCORE) is a campus cluster initiative at the University of Massachusetts Lowell focused on bringing together faculty, staff, students, companies, and organizations with the mission of exploring sports from academic and experiential perspectives in the university community and beyond.

We are excited to host an upcoming event to continue our effort to discuss and learn about the unique power of sports that bring people together through interdisciplinary and community collaborations.

Please join us for “State of Performance Monitoring with Wearables”

Speaker: Kristen Holmes, WHOOP VP of Performance Science

Date: Wednesday, March 30, 2022 – 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Location: Moloney Hall, University Crossing 260

Topics will include the history of WHOOP; the size, growth and future of the wearables’ industry; student internship and career opportunities; WHOOP cutting edge research especially around performance, sleep and recovery; partnerships between WHOOP and various universities; a focus on women’s health and athletics; and safety, security and privacy concerns.

WHOOP is an American wearable technology company headquartered in Boston. Its principal product is a fitness tracker that measures strain, recovery, and sleep.
