We are excited to announce that we will be hosting in-person commencement ceremonies at the Tsongas Center, 300 MLK Way, Lowell, MA on the following days:
Friday, May 13 at 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (est.)
- Doctoral and Master's
- Intercampus Programs
Saturday, May 14 at 9 a.m. - noon (est.)
- Undergraduates in the Francis College of Engineering
- Undergraduates in the Kennedy College of Sciences
- Undergraduates in the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences
Saturday, May 14 at 2:30 - 5 p.m. (est.)
- Undergraduates in the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
- Undergraduates in the Manning School of Business
UMass Lowell’s annual Commencement celebrations are the culminations of all the work by students, faculty and staff and we respectfully request your participation in celebrating this milestone together with us in your academic regalia.
Regalia rental orders can be placed online now through March 29, 2022, at 11:59p.m. (EST). If you need assistance or have ordering questions, please contact the River Hawk Shop at 978-934-2623 or email bookstore@uml.edu.
Our office will coordinate with the deans’ offices in collecting names of faculty marshals and flag bearers for each ceremony. If you are interested and/or know somebody who would be willing to serve in this capacity, please email commencement@uml.edu. As it gets closer to graduation, the commencement committee will hold a meeting with all faculty marshals to explain the procedure, distribute faculty marshal stole, and allow time for questions you may have about the event, including parking, etc.
After two modified commencement ceremonies in 2020 and 2021, we are eager to commence our in-person tradition at the Tsongas Center with our proud graduates and their families and/or friends this May 2022.
