Needed: Full-time faculty who want assistance on research, creative and community engagement projects! The Honors Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for fellowships for Spring, Summer and Fall 2022. Applications received by Feb. 14 will be promoted at our Faculty Mentor-Honors Student Mixer on Feb. 18.
Through the Fellowship Program, The Honors College will award qualified Honors students a stipend of $1,500 (applied to their student account) for approximately 100 hours of work to be completed within one academic year. Students may potentially use a fellowship as an Honors Interactive Experience, which can count as H3, H4 or H5.
There are two ways for faculty to take advantage of this opportunity:
- Faculty mentor and student have already found each other: fill out the Faculty Mentor and Student Fellowship Application together
- Faculty mentor has a project but needs help finding a qualified student: fill out the Faculty Mentor without a Student Application. Honors students will be notified about the opportunity.
Note: All Fellowship projects should call for the student to engage in reading, writing (this can be a short reflection paper at the end of the Fellowship), and speaking (Fellowship presentations will be held monthly). It is important that the project offers a meaningful opportunity to the student to engage with the faculty mentor.
