The second week in November is designated as National Collegiate Emergency Medical Services Week. Each year collegiate EMS organizations across the higher education industry conduct outreach and awareness programs to share what collegiate EMS has to offer and the critical role these organizations play.
UMass Lowell EMS has been instrumental to the campus community’s safety since its founding as a club in 1984. Today, UMass Lowell EMS, a Commonwealth Licensed Ambulance Service, serves as the primary ambulance service for the campus community and was instrumental in the university’s COVID-19 pandemic response during the past 20 months.
Please take a moment to stop by one of the events planned this week and learn more about the program as well as gain critical skills that may save a life!
